Basically submitting this compilation i slaved over for a few days into this blog competition. Judged on the complete package, so i dodged up a front and cheesy back vinyl covering. Basically a mix of all the great music i have discovered the last few years... the stoner kind lol. Guarantee if you listen you will come away with a handful of things you found p amazing!

Posting this here so you don't have to bother with that torrent which would of taken months prob, feel free to snatch these up... i'd get them in order of year! The first one is the rawest, but as they go along they add more and more instrumentation and shit, i know you will dig this stuff. Truly one of my favourite bands of the 90s/00s. Most proggers consider these guys together with Porc, right up there quietly leading the genre of the last decade or so. They're all great, but my favourites ...

The Butterfly Effect.

Girly name eh?

Yeah well fuck you.

Enjoy the fresh leak fellazzz. Boy, this new record is going to divide TMV fans the world over. I have been a closet fan for a while, but this is the one that might just win me over. Obviously people dig their virtuosity and shit, i guess that has always been half of their appeal. But that's also how the band suffers, the music is just too inaccessible to bare repeated listening and have it really sink in.

This one though is excellent, they have really toned it down a notch. Sometimes ...

Ah yes, this is exactly what i was looking for. Not in the sense of this exact album or band, but in the sense that some unheard of band like this would jump out and absolutely blow me away in the early stages of 2009. It's my favourite album of the year by a new band thus far. I assume they are relative unpopular simply because i don't read of any noise being made of them anywhere (as well as this obviously being their official debut.)

So like, posting this for tommeh and anyone else intrigued by the description. Play this late at night in a dark room and it will put you in a the most blissful somber mood. It's very jazz like in structure but almost prog like with the spacey ethereal keys used throughout. Quite simply, it's just a really really beautiful piece of music. If i had to get all pretentious on your ass i'd say it's like taking a dip in a silent and chilly lake late at night

So thanks to a few friends of mine at dinodance.net, the new metallica album has finally leaked. Lollin hard atm, Metallica are probably the most tight about leaking music, probably about to lose my internet home sometime soon. Same member who leaked it also leaked Opeth's Watershed to us before p much anyone else. I don't really dig metallica but i thought i would post it before these links are taken down:

So when i am listening to these guys i have such a nostalgic moment, this album was probably the first cd i ever bought back in like 96 or something. They were pretty much like what Tenacious D are to people now, they are funny as, don't really take themselves seriously and fucking rock out when they want to. Some of my all time favourite drinking music here! You will know some of their smash hits, Kitty, She's Lump, Peaches, Dune Buggy. Mixed around these awesome rockers is some fantastic humour, ...

This is probably one of my favourite progressive/psychedelic albums of the 90s. If you heard my first StW mix you would remember a Porc Tree song on that called Moon Touches Your Shoulder. That is the only really chilled quiet part of this album, a very solid song and an important part of this concept album. The way the songs are set out here is so much like Floyd's Wish You Were Here. You got two massive parters beginning and ending, and a nice little ballad in the middle (Wish You Were Here/Moon ...

Want some mellotron in your Jazz Fusion? How about some Zeuhl style bass? While we're at it, let's add some David Jackson-esque sax. Throw in some incredible drumming, and even a little vibraphone, and you have the makings of the opening track on "Bantam to Behemoth." "Birds Flying Into Buildings" sets the tone for the musical extravaganza that is Birds and Buildings.

It is pretty obvious that Dan Britton and company had been pulling out their Zeuhl albums before ...

Bo Hansson is famous for his 1972 concept album "Lord of the Rings" which came out decades before Hollywood ever made any noise about Tolkien's trilogy. The music was taped on a remote island off Stockholm, on an 8-track recorder, in a summer house studio with the help of a few friends and musicians. It received Gold Record awards in England and Australia. Licenced by Tony Stratton-Smith's Charisma label in England and America, it was also the subject of an extensive TV ad campaign that ...
